The successful candidate will support reinsurance operations by providing expert legal advice with a focus on drafting and negotiating reinsurance and associated agreements, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide legal counsel and support on insurance and reinsurance matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating reinsurance contracts and related agreements.
- Advise on regulatory compliance issues related to reinsurance and underwriting activities.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, operations and finance departments to address legal issues and provide solutions that align with business objectives.
- Conduct legal research and stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices.
- Assist in the resolution of reinsurance disputes, including managing litigation and arbitration processes.
- Support the development and implementation of corporate reinsurance policies and procedures.
- Review and advise on reinsurance-related documentation and transactions.
