Position Summary:We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Electrical Install Manager to lead our installation team. This role is responsible for managing and executing electrical installations, ensuring code compliance, maintaining safety standards, and supporting smooth project delivery from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Manage and perform the installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and safety systems.
- Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems as needed during or after installation.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to plan and carry out installations accurately.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all installations meet local, state, and national electrical codes and adhere to safety standards.
- Testing & Inspection: Test electrical systems and components to ensure functionality, safety, and quality assurance.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, tradespeople, and clients to ensure seamless execution.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, labor, and materials used.
- Tools & Equipment: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and care of all tools, equipment, and vehicles assigned to the install department.
- Work Order Management: Oversee installation work as assigned through the NextService Work Order system.
- Team Participation: Attend and contribute to team meetings, providing input and support to project planning and department goals.
- Professionalism: Maintain positive and professional relationships with coworkers, clients, and vendors.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support successful project outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, installations, and best practices.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying issues and developing efficient solutions in real-time.
- Blueprint Reading: Skilled at interpreting construction documents and electrical schematics.
- Code & Safety Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of electrical codes (NEC or local) and adherence to safety procedures.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communicator with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Manual Dexterity: Precise, hands-on work capability in handling installations and equipment.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Quick to diagnose and fix installation-related electrical problems.
- Leadership: Experience managing install crews or leading field operations is preferred.
