The Phillips Group is currently seeking a Contract FT Chief Engineer to oversee the Engineering department at the Ramada Hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance to include the proper operation, maintenance, repair of all heating, ventilation, refrigeration, mechanical equipment and company vehicles. Participate in the Manager on duty program. Train and be proficient in both hotels property management system Opera. Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program of all-building equipment and guestrooms and common areas. Train the engineering staff on the management of such a program. Maintain inventory of all parts and supplies. Purchase all parts, supplies, tools, and equipment related to engineering, through direct contact with sales representatives. Assign duties and work responsibilities to staff members. Authorize requests for vacation / sick leave, holidays for staff members, leaves-of-absences, schedule changes, overtime and annual performance reviews. Submit weekly reports to G.M. CPO pool certification will be required. Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and / or abilities. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies procedures and standards. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Must possess a valid driver's license to drive company vehicles when necessary. T his is a 12-month contract salary position with a possibility of an extension. EEO
