We are currently seeking an outstanding and proactive Controller to take charge of the Accounting and Finance processes at our Midtown New York Office. In the midst of our rapid expansion and procedural transformations, your role will be instrumental in shaping the company's financial performance and supporting our ongoing growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee comprehensive accounting operations, including financial statements, general ledger, payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable, and revenue recognition.
· Develop and refine accounting and finance systems to enhance overall efficiency.
· Ensure rigorous compliance with accounting standards.
· Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
· Prepare budgets and generate other essential financial reports.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or Finance (CPA Preferred)
· Professional Services Industry experience is required with familiarity of processing hourly billings.
· 6 years of experience as an accounting professional.
· Exceptional proficiency in QuickBooks.
· Advanced skills in Excel with the ability to analyze and manipulate data effectively.
· At least 2 years of Experience with multi state payroll processing and managing timesheets.
· In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· A team player with the capability to work independently, demonstrating intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach.
· Exhibits a strong work ethic and maintains a positive outlook.
