Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Managing Clerk to support their team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the litigation docket and calendar
- Record and track all incoming and outgoing documents in the docket database while accurately calculating and documenting procedural deadlines and due dates
- Handle electronic filings in designated courts, staying current with all applicable filing rules, procedures, and judges' individual practices
- Maintain and oversee case-specific information within assigned jurisdictions
- Monitor case progress, obtain decisions and orders, update dockets, and communicate case status changes to attorneys
- Communicate effectively to present information and respond to procedural inquiries from attorneys and staff
- Serve as a liaison with court personnel, fostering strong relationships with court staff, process servers, and couriers
- Develop and adhere to an internal schedule for timely and accurate completion of work assignments and docketing deadlines
- Conduct court research and respond to procedural questions at the direction of attorneys, paralegals, and business services teams
- Support special projects, including docket audits, outstanding motions lists, appeals lists, and business development lists
- Research and stay informed on procedural rules to identify and implement necessary updates
- Stay current with developments and rules in state and federal courts where the firm operates
- Create and maintain systems to help attorneys admitted to the New York Bar track and meet renewal deadlines
- Develop a system to monitor and track CLE compliance for New York Bar-admitted attorneys and respond to related inquiries
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of Managing Clerk experience in a law firm environment

Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
