One of our prestigious Law firms is looking for a Paralegal that has experience in the Trust & Estate practice.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, collect, analyze, abstract, organize, and maintain facts and documents in accordance with compliant legal practice and procedure.
- Identify, collect, analyze, abstract, organize, and maintain financial statements and spreadsheets relating to client investments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and personnel, inside and outside the firm, to obtain and clarify information necessary to substantiate facts, identify documents, and support legal actions.
- Organize and maintain information, records, and documents supporting legal actions.
- Assist with analysis of legal proceedings to identify possible issues.
- Develop, implement, and maintain tracking and accounting systems for client investments, facilitating the preparation of U.S. trust tax returns.
- Prepare U.S. federal and state death tax returns.
- Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns for estates, testamentary and intervivos trusts.
- Prepare individual, fiduciary, partnership, and non-profit organization U.S. tax returns.
- Prepare Trust and Estate probate accountings.
- Prepare related filings and analysis for all accountings and returns.
- Execute Trust and Estate administration.
- Track deadlines to ensure returns and accountings are filed timely or extended when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred.
- Ten (10) years or more of experience as a Fiduciary Accountant.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Estate Val Software (EVP), ProSystem FX, and FastTax.
- Knowledge of Trust and Estate procedures and trial balance sheets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Compensation:
- $110,000.00 - $150,000.00, dependent upon experience.
- Competitive benefits package.
- Fiduciary Accountant is an exempt role, not eligible for overtime.
- Annual Paid Time Off (PTO) of twenty-five (25) days in year one and thirty (30) on first anniversary.

Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
