Overview
The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently seeking Project Engineers to join our corporate engineering team in Bells, TN. The Corporate Project Engineer will manage capital & special repair projects, assist with regulatory compliance issues, and provide technical support to Pictsweet's vegetable processing facilities.

Responsibilities
Capital & Repair Projects – Planning and Design
- Develop project concepts and performance specifications
- Develop general arrangements, layouts and schematic design
- Perform detailed design of food processing, packaging, steam, water, refrigeration, and material handling systems
- Perform schematic design of electrical and controls systems
- Develop project management plans
Capital & Repair Projects – Execution
- Draft and/or review EJCDC and AIA construction contract documents
- Manage contractors, equipment vendors, transportation, and material procurement
- Manage project schedule and costs
- Review submittals, change orders, and certification for payment request
- Ensure all quality standards are met
- Maintain project documentation
Technical Support
- Provide technical support to all facilities in the areas of refrigeration, processing, packaging, controls, and utility systems
- Assist all plants with regulatory requirements such as PSM, RMP, and life safety compliance
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in equipment, materials, technologies, etc applicable to our industry
- Provide support to other engineering projects as needed
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- 3.25 overall GPA
- Firm understanding of the fundamentals of refrigeration, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, machine design, materials, and mechanics of materials
- Ability to effectively communicate engineering designs and concepts through sketches, drawings, and written documents
- Experience preferred, particularly in ammonia industrial refrigeration, food plant/sanitary designs, and plant engineering
