Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
• Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed during busy periods.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
• Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand.
• Assist in training new staff members on guest relations protocols and restaurant policies.

Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in using POS systems for reservations and order management.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with hotel guest services is a plus but not required.

Pay: $8.00 - $15.00 per hour
