Job Description: People Operations Manager
We are looking for a dynamic, people-focused HR professional to help grow and support our equipo unido across our three San Antonio campuses! This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about connecting the right people with the right roles, ensuring smooth HR processes, and fostering a fun, positive team culture in a school environment that is truly calido and acogedor.
KEY REPONSIBILITIES:

Hiring & Recruiting
- Visit all three campuses on a regular basis to understand hiring needs and work closely with school leaders to find the right fit for each role;
- Manage and optimize online job postings;
- Conduct in-person interviews to identify strong talent;
- Oversee the entire hiring process—phone screens, interviews, offer letters, reference and background checks, onboarding, and pre-service training.
Team & Culture
- Coach team members as they grow professionally in Human Resources;
- Foster professional and productive relationships with all staff members, encouraging teamwork and positivity;
- Help mediate differences between staff members in a fair, positive, and professional manner.
- Support directors and managers in handling disciplinary matters, drafting probation letters, write-ups, and development plans as needed;
- Guide employees when they exit the organization, ensuring a smooth and professional transition;
- Maintain open and effective communication with staff members regarding HR topics while maintaining confidentiality (as related to salaries, job performance and assignments, and personal matters).
HR & Operations
- Ensure employee files are complete and compliant with HR laws and Child Care Licensing requirements; conduct periodic audits of employee files;
- Track and report on HR-related KPIs and collaborate with leaders to ensure targets are met;
- Assist with payroll (timecards), benefits enrollment, HR research, and other HR-related duties;
- Track and approve hires, terminations, transfers, job and compensation changes in HR and payroll software and ensure data is updated and accurate;
- Handle ad hoc tasks and projects as needed to support the school community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluency in Spanish and English, both verbal and written;
- Proven experience in administrative or HR support roles, preferably in an educational setting;
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written;
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Drive;
- Experience working with HR and payroll management software (preferred);
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business, or a related field (preferred).
