Maintenance Technician - Plumbing

The Pines at Davidson is hiring a maintenance technician plumber to perform preventive maintenance and repair of all interior and exterior plumbing and equipment on our 50-acre campus. You will be a member of our maintenance team, which additionally supports electrical, emergency call, swimming pool and HVAC systems in our main buildings and 291 independent living units. Who you are
- Minimum 5 years prior plumbing experience or completed plumbing vocational training
- Able to read blueprints
- Knowledge of plumbing codes
- High level of commitment to excellence and willingness to focus on facilities systems for the comfort of our residents
- Able to engage in prolonged walking, reaching and working on a ladder
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
What you would do at The Pines
- Maintain and repair plumbing infrastructure and fixtures.
- Maintain preventive schedules of drain cleaning
- Order and keep an inventory of plumbing supplies.
- Maintain plumbing tools.
- Assist with the completion of daily work orders.
- Work on-call and weekend duty as scheduled.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Respond to emergency alarms.
- Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized.
- Assist with the repair of HVAC equipment.
- Complete assigned tasks given by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Director of Plant Services.
