What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant position at The Pines Rehabilitation & Health Center?
The Pines Rehabilitation & Health Center is a 60 Bed SNF/NF facility that provides Quality and Compassionate Resident Centered Care to the residents we serve. We're located in Beautiful Lyndonville, VT. We are currently accepting applications for an Activities Assistant for 40 hours per week (Every other weekend work requirement)
As an Activities Assistant, your primary role includes:
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Activity Programs of this facility under the supervision of the Director of Activities.
- Assist in developing, and maintaining a good working rapport with other departments within the facility to assure that activity programs can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
- Help create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department.
- Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all resident related care information to assure Resident Rights are protected.
- Oversee planned activities during the absence of the Director.
- Assist in obtaining information concerning the resident's background and interests to better provide activities to meet their needs.
- Assist in coordinating programs and activities with other departments, as necessary.
