- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely communication of any changes to the nursing staff.
- Perform catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Support patients in assisted living or hospice care settings, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills related to home care and patient management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; experience in assisted living or hospice care is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices, including vital signs monitoring and catheter care.
- Familiarity with medical documentation systems, particularly Cerner or similar electronic health records.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality care to patients.
- Certification as a nurse or medical technician is an advantage but not mandatory.
