The Role:
The Project Manager will work as part of our custom home building business. They are responsible for overseeing the entirety of the custom home construction process from beginning to end. The role demands a high level of precision, commitment to quality, and client-centric focus. The Project Manager coordinates with clients, architects, designers, and construction teams to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standards, within budget and timelines. They must possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage the complexities of custom builds, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to elite construction practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly in the luxury custom home sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Communication and Satisfaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project. Provide regular updates and manage any changes or challenges that arise, maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional quality and service.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources. Oversee the execution of the project according to these plans, ensuring milestones are met and the project remains on track and within budget.
- Quality Control and Standards Compliance: Ensure that all aspects of the construction meet the high standards expected in luxury custom builds. This includes overseeing the selection of materials, craftsmanship, and adherence to local building codes and regulations.
- Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate the work of internal teams and external contractors. Ensure clear communication and collaboration among all parties involved, resolving conflicts and facilitating teamwork to meet project goals.
- Budget Management and Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs to ensure the project remains within budget. This includes negotiating with suppliers and contractors, managing changes to the project scope, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project timeline, budget, or quality, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Maintain contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges, ensuring the project remains on track.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in construction management, specifically with complex custom construction projects.
- Previous experience in residential, hospitality, or mixed-use custom developments is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), Internet, and email (Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to maintain professional relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adjust work schedules as necessary, often within tight deadlines.
- Proven capability to interact effectively with other managers, clients, and vendors, fostering positive working relationships.
- Strong leadership skills, and a desire and ability to work with a team of people around you.
