SUMMARY:
The Physical Therapy Technician (PTT) plays an essential role in assisting physical therapists in the delivery of patient care. This position is responsible for maintaining the clinic environment, setting up equipment, preparing patients for treatment, and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic to support the physical therapy team and enhance the overall patient experience at The Pinpoint Group.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist physical therapists with preparing patients for therapy sessions, ensuring they are ready for their treatments.
- Prepare and set up therapy equipment before and after treatments, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Assist patients with basic mobility and positioning during therapy sessions as directed by the physical therapist.
- Provide patients with instructions for performing exercises under the guidance of the physical therapist.
- Clean and maintain therapy areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Document patient progress as directed by physical therapists and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Help with administrative tasks, including patient intake, scheduling appointments, and filing patient records.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Provide support to physical therapists with any additional tasks as required.
- Enforce clinic policies and ensure safety standards are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a clinical setting and requires direct interaction with patients, physical therapists, and other healthcare staff. The role may require standing, walking, lifting, and assisting with physical therapy exercises.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with physical therapy exercises.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with patient transfers as needed.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. The onsite work hours are based on clinic hours and the assigned shift.
TRAVEL:
This position may require travel up to 10% of the time to various locations for patient care, training, or clinic support.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a physical therapy technician or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare terminology.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus.
