The Pioneer Woman Mercantile is a destination bakery, deli, hotel, pizza restaurant, ice cream and candy shop, and general stores in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. If you are proficient in the basic techniques of the bakeshop, this is the path you would

follow. Higher-level techniques, such as lamination, will be the mainstay of this position.

The Baker will produce recipes to spec and teach junior bakers how to do the same. This is a true production job, fabricating products at volume levels to keep the bakery cases full, beautiful, and irresistible for our visitors.

• Scaling and production of baked goods and pastries such as cookies, muffins, cupcakes, laminated doughs, and more

• Mixing, rolling, and shaping biscuits, scones, croissants in a high volume format

• Baking and presenting items ready for the bakery cases

• Dessert production to support the additional businesses

Qualities & Abilities

Required Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of sanitation regulations

• Basic math skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Keen attention to detail

• Requires repetitive hand/arm motion..

• Requires frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.

• Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

• Standing/Walking for 6-8 hours at a time minimum

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Baker preferred

• Warm, friendly, and hospitable attitude

• Must have reliable transportation

• Holidays and weekends required

• Overnight shifts available
