Job Description

Specific Responsibilities (including but not limited to) :
Possess an in-depth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes, design criteria, and structural mechanics.
Design permanent structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE walls, etc.
Design temporary structures, including but not limited to :
Formwork / Falsework Design
Erection, Demolition, and Heavy Lift Planning
Support of Excavation Systems
Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
Fall Protection Systems
Barge Analysis
Provide on-site design engineering support and inspections.
Coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to resolve issues.
Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.
Requirements
Bachelor's and / or Master's Degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university (Master's Degree or greater is preferred).
GPA above 3.0 is preferred.
0-2 years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience with permanent and temporary structures, construction engineering, or construction labor is a plus.
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or the ability to do so within the first year of employment.
Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering.
Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA-3D, MathCAD, SkyCiv, etc.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
Team player and self-motivated to achieve success.
