Position Overview:
Piper's Tavern is seeking a skilled and energetic bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, experienced in mixing and serving drinks, and able to create a welcoming and fun atmosphere for our patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about the menu.
- Ensure that front of the house area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Check customer IDs to verify legal drinking age and adhere to all alcohol-related regulations.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accuracy in the sales process.
- Engage with patrons, making them feel comfortable and enhancing their experience at the Tavern.
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory management and cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless food and drink service.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess the necessary alcohol certification (if required by local laws).
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-volume setting.
- Knowledge of craft beers, wines, and specialty cocktails.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
