Position Overview

As a Metrology Engineer specializing in New Product Introduction (NPI), you will be a key contributor to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of critical components. Utilizing your Calypso programming expertise, youll develop and implement advanced measurement solutions that support smooth product launches and ongoing production excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and fine-tune CMM programs using Calypso software to meet quality and manufacturing requirements.
  • Conduct precision measurements to validate components, assemblies, and processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to define measurement strategies.
  • Analyze dimensional data, prepare detailed reports, and recommend improvements.
  • Troubleshoot metrology challenges and implement solutions to maintain production timelines.
  • Enhance measurement processes by introducing new techniques and refining existing workflows.
  • Manage and maintain metrology equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Train and guide team members in metrology best practices and standards.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Advanced expertise in CMM programming, specifically with Calypso software.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, dimensional inspection, and metrology principles.
  • Experience in supporting NPI, manufacturing launches, or similar production environments.
  • Proficient in using precision measurement tools and analyzing inspection data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in quality control processes.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in metrology, quality systems, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working in high-precision industries such as automotive, aerospace, or medical devices.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
