Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Foreman/Supervisor to oversee ecological restoration projects and lead field crews in the installation and maintenance of native landscapes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and experience in landscape planting, site preparation, and equipment operation.
Job Description:
- Lead and direct field crews in native plant installations, seeding, erosion control, and site restoration.
- Read and interpret landscape planting plans to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize strong plant identification skills to ensure proper species selection and placement.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including skid steers with various implements, for grading and earthwork.
- Drive company trucks and trailers to job sites; a Class-A CDL is preferred.
- Ensure compliance with DOT driving regulations and proper handling of equipment and materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and management to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following company policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications: - Proven leadership experience in landscaping, ecological restoration, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills (English proficiency required – written and verbal).
- Ability to read and follow landscape planting plans accurately.
- Hands-on experience with planting trees, shrubs, perennials, seeding, and erosion control blankets.
- Proficiency in identifying native plants and invasive species.
- Experience operating skid steers and other heavy machinery.
- DOT driving experience with trucks and trailers (CDL Class-A preferred).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications: - Class-A CDL or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience in ecological restoration, conservation, or land management.
