What Youll Work On :
- Fleet Vehicles Light- and medium-duty trucks used for fieldwork.
- Farm & Restoration Equipment Tractors, skid steers, UTVs, and other machinery essential to habitat restoration.
- 2-Cycle & Small Engine Equipment Chainsaws, pumps, brush cutters, and other field tools.

Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of fleet vehicles and equipmentChange fluid, filters, and adjust as prescribed by PM schedulesInspect and diagnose vehicles and equipment, identify worn or damaged partsCorrect deficiencies by repairing or replacing damaged, worn, or defective partsVerify performance and operation by testing before and after services / repairsMaintain vehicle and equipment availability by performance of preventive maintenancePerform service calls and field repairs as neededComplete maintenance and repairs in an efficient and timely mannerMaintain inventory of shop tools and suppliesMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areasMaintain shop equipmentMake detailed records of work performed, time, and parts used on work order formsAdhere to company defined and industry standards, procedures, and methodsObtain, comprehend, and apply information contained in operators, service, and parts literatureUse a computer terminal for recordkeeping and reference purposesMaintain knowledge and qualificationsParticipate in educational and training opportunitiesObtain and read technical and regulatory publicationsDrive and operate autos, trucks, heavy equipment, agricultural machinery and implements, and small enginepower equipment.Other duties as required.Skills and Knowledge :
1-year previous experience in automotive, truck, diesel, small engine and power equipment service andrepair is required. 2 or more years experience preferred.A good knowledge and understanding of automotive and truck systems, including brake, steering,suspension, exhaust, and ignition systems.
A good knowledge and understanding of automotive unleaded and diesel truck engines, their components,component function, troubleshooting and repair, component function, troubleshooting and repair required equipment common to automotive and equipment service and repair find and correct root causes.
Additional Preferred Knowledge and Skills - Can obtain on-the-job agricultural equipment, their components, component function, troubleshooting and repair and / or using tire machines suspension is required. Experience or training with wheel alignment equipment tools (readers, scanners, and scopes of various manufactures) is preferred. Specific experience with Ford IDS and VCM is preferred troubleshooting and repair SMAW, GMAW or GTAW equipment
Certification and Education :
