What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Native Plant Nursery Order Puller position at The Pizzo Group?
Objective
Be a part of the Order Fulfillment Team and help with all duties ensuring Pizzo Nursery maintains high customer quality and expectations. Responsible for carrying out all aspects of the order process from pulling, staging, and accuracy in quality under the direction of the Order Fulfillment Manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Pull orders throughout season in all types of weather conditions
- Willingness to work as a team to accomplish pulling of large orders in a timely manner
- Occasionally staying late to accomplish pulling orders
- Being flexible with work schedule due to weather conditions
- Preparing for the following week by additional Saturday or Sunday hours as needed
- Assist with the boxing process on shipping days
- Help load orders on shipping racks for deliveries & load LTL racks on Mondays
- Consolidation of crops when needed
- Perform re-blocking of houses throughout the whole nursery
- Work the boxing line on shipping days
- Assist Order Fulfillment Manager in other tasks
Other General Nursery Tasks (as needed):
- Watering
- Laying and repairing ground cloth
- Over-wintering preparation
- General facility cleaning
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Ability to work outside in inclement weather
- Attention to detail and instructions
- Ability to multi-task
- Willing to work independently and as a team
- Ability to repeatedly lift 30 lbs. at any given time
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Open availability: Monday thru Friday 730am to 3:30pm for the season.
