🌿Seasonal - Nursery Technician🌿

Job Description:

Help grow and maintain native plants from seedlings to finished liners under the direction of the
Production Coordinator. Help monitor crop inputs for efficient and quality production. Work as
member of the PNPN team to help achieve the highest standards in regard to facility appearance and
quality control. Strive for an exceptional level of professionalism and efficient communication
when interacting with other members of the PNPN team.

Plant production tasks:
• Transplanting
• Filling flats
• Moving plants around within the nursery
• Weed management
• Crop consolidation
• Keep production tools and areas clean and organized
• Learn native plant species and their characteristics

Other General Nursery Tasks (as needed):
• Seeding
• Seed harvesting and cleaning
• Bare root harvesting
• Order pulling
• Communicate with Inventory Control in regard to plant losses, consolidations, and recounts
• Communicate with the Grower in regard to pest and watering observations
• Watering
• Laying and repairing ground cloth
• Over-wintering preparation
• General facility cleaning
• Nursery improvements and expansion

Requirements:
• Experience in horticulture, agriculture or biology helpful
• Experience operating mowers and other small equipment helpful
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are the most important requirement

Be available for 40 hours a week: Monday thru Friday 7:30a.m-3:30p.m
