Job Overview :
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in power systems and at least 5 years of experience. The role focuses on designing and supporting sub-transmission systems, substations, switching stations, and commercial / industrial power distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the design of sub-transmission systems, substations, and commercial / industrial distribution systems.
- Develop engineering calculations, design alternatives, and estimates for small-scale system improvements in substations and distribution systems.
- Maintain and update the GIS database for large-scale electrical distribution systems.
- Conduct site surveys for new utility service requests and present design alternatives to management and customers.
- Assist senior engineers on major capital upgrade projects.
- Analyze electrical faults, power quality, and system loading scenarios, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Gain and maintain expertise in power system protection and relaying schemes for distribution systems.
- Develop and analyze system models for large-scale power systems using ETAP or similar software.
- Attend field walk-downs with customers to assess project requirements and provide technical support.
