About The Opportunity:
The Planet Forward has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team and lead electrical and instrumentation activities in mission-critical data center projects.
This role requires a strong leader with expertise in electrical construction, who can ensure safe, efficient, and on-time completion of electrical aspects while maximizing productivity and minimizing costs.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all electrical construction activities, ensuring safety, productivity, and compliance with project schedules.
- Oversight of subcontractor performance related to electrical work, including raceway installation, cable trays, electrical panels, grounding systems, transformers, motors, wiring, heat tracing, and instrumentation.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with design drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Collaboration with the project management team to develop and implement project procedures, documents, and standards.
- Review and approval of field design change requests, purchase requisitions, and other project-related documentation.
- Regular safety audits and compliance with safety protocols, including Pre-Task Analysis (PTAs) and Task Safety Observations (TSOs).
- Providing oversight for electrical and instrumentation installations, including conducting and recording tests, calibrations, and point-to-point checks.
- Maintenance of daily construction progress reports, documenting work progress through pictures and field reports.
- Review of subcontractor 3-week lookahead reports and identification of concerns or potential issues with upcoming work.
- Development and maintenance of as-built drawings and assistance with answering RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Management of subcontractors to ensure compliance with the project schedule and monitoring of work progress.
- Verification that materials meet specifications, are properly stored, and required maintenance activities are performed.
- Coordination with QA/QC to ensure welders on site are qualified.
- Witnessing equipment setting and alignment to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Review of systems during and after hydrostatic testing to verify compliance with design.
- Development of punch lists to address items out of compliance or incomplete.
- Ensuring the latest drawing revisions are being used in the field.
- Management of project scope changes, ensuring proper execution of field change orders.
- Oversight of craft supervision, material and tool management, and site staffing as needed.
- Ensuring all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
