General Job Description:
The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking a Pool Technician. Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine pool services and maintenance for a Homeowners Association (HOA) Junior Olympic pool and facilities; ensuring that the pool is available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition in accordance with all State laws and Local ordinances. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to pool cleaning to include filters, required chemical applications, routine maintenance of equipment such as repairing light fittings, identifying leaks, cracks, and faulty equipment, ordering of required chemicals, parts and materials.
This is the journey-level classification in the Facilities Maintenance Technician series responsible for performing a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for a Homeowners Association (HOA) facility. Incumbents at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies. Work is reviewed upon completion for soundness, appropriateness, and conformity to policy and requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Incumbents work in both indoor and outdoor environments. May work in controlled temperature conditions, cold and hot temperatures, or inclement weather conditions. Exposure to chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards, and hazardous physical substances and fumes. Incumbents will interact with individuals in interpreting and enforcing rules, policies, and procedures.
