What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plastics Machine Technician position at The Plastek Group?
Overview
The Plastek Group is seeking a Machine Technician for one of our sites located in Erie, PA.
The candidate will be responsible for keeping production equipment running with a minimum of down time.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required preventative maintenance function on plant production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair all machines.
- Assist PM Mechanics and Machine Mechanics.
- Climb and work from a 20’ extension ladder and scissor ladder.
- Work at heights up to 50’ above grade.
- Know all relevant SOO’s and SAP scripts.
- Adhere to OSHA requirements.
- Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Applicants must possess the ability to effectively communicate information to/from the employer/clients by written, verbal or other designated means as required by the employer.
- Basic math skills. Mechanical abilities.
- Electrical certificate.
- Blueprint training.
- Own hand tools.
- Current driver’s license.
- Attend, pass and remain current with OSHA mandated lock out/tag out training and procedures.
- Mold setup course or equivalent training/experience.
