Mold Preventative Maintenance—
Position Overview:
Employees will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of the molds. Removal of slides, strippers, stripper plates and taking apart for maintenance and/or repair. Clean and assemble grease area as needed. Able to identify or detect problems in weak areas of tools. Should have basic machine shop experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow the schedule of molds to be cleaned.
- Remove slides, strippers, stripper plates and take apart for cleaning.
- Clean and assemble grease area as needed
- Able to see or detect problems in weak area of molds.
- Variable work schedule and overtime may be required.
- Must be able to meet the attendance requirement for the position
- Participate as a team player
- Ability to operate overhead crane.
Occupational and/or Physical Requirements
Understanding of paperwork procedures and documentation requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance
- Ability to spend up to 12 hours a shift on foot around hot machinery (continental)
- Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects, pushing and pulling objects
- Ability to navigate and utilize SAP system
Experience preferred:
- Familiarization with Calipers.
- Understanding of Micrometers.
- Experience with basic hand tools.
- Familiarity with Electrical Meters.
- Some knowledge with reading Blueprints/schematics.
$18.00-$20.00 based on experience
