Job Summary:
The Facility Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the operations of our new facility, including the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods, materials, and equipment. This role ensures that the facility operates efficiently, meets safety standards, and maintains high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, monitor supply usage, and order new stock as needed. Track shipments and manage receiving and the distribution to designated areas.
- Transportation Management: Plan and coordinate transportation schedules, including the movement of products to and from the facility. Work with external vendors or carriers to arrange shipments.
- Facilities Management Support: Managing storage areas, loading docks, and other relevant spaces. Participate in different projects (e.g. renovations).
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all logistics activities comply with safety regulations, environmental laws, and company policies.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform daily basic maintenance, and general repairs that do not require specialized technician.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- Experience: Previous experience in facility management, construction or maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory control, transportation, and distribution of inventory.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficient in logistics software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
