Sycamore Medical Management is seeking a Medical Receptionist for The Premier Surgical Network located in Tinton Falls, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors as soon as they arrive at the office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls; Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Keeps patient on schedule by notifying staff of patient's arrival
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
- Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing
Skills/Qualifications:
- Customer Service, Professionalism, Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Quality Focus
Requirements:
- Healthcare experience preferred. Experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality field preferred.
- Proficiency in English; multilingual is strongly preferred. Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
