Practice Ambassador – Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery (NJ & PA)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Practice Ambassador to represent our plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery practice across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. This field-based role focuses on building and strengthening relationships with referring providers—including primary care physicians, orthopedic surgeons, urgent care centers, hospital networks, and rehabilitation specialists—to drive patient referrals.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, relationship-driven professional with a background in healthcare business development, provider relations, or medical sales. This individual will be responsible for engaging with medical practices, educating them about our services, and ensuring a seamless referral process.
Key Responsibilities
Provider & Community Engagement
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with physicians, orthopedic and trauma specialists, urgent care centers, and hospital systems across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Conduct regular field visits to medical offices, delivering educational materials and updates on the practice’s offerings in plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for referring providers, ensuring timely communication and an excellent referral experience.
- Identify new referral sources and key market opportunities within NJ & PA.
Referral Growth & Outreach Strategy
- Execute a targeted outreach plan to increase referral volume from key regions in NJ and PA.
- Track referral patterns, analyze data, and adjust outreach strategies accordingly.
- Represent the practice at medical conferences, physician networking events, and healthcare summits in the region.
Education & Brand Representation
- Organize and lead lunch-and-learns, educational presentations, and in-office training sessions for referring providers and their teams.
- Act as a brand ambassador by promoting our state-of-the-art procedures and patient-focused approach.
- Distribute marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and engagement with potential referral sources.
Collaboration & Internal Communication
- Work closely with the marketing, business development, and patient intake teams to align outreach efforts with overall growth initiatives.
- Provide real-time feedback from referring providers to enhance patient referral processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Keep the team informed on market trends, competitive insights, and referral opportunities in NJ & PA.
Key Markets & Territories
The Practice Ambassador will focus on New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with targeted outreach in:
- New Jersey: Northern NJ (Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Union), Central NJ (Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Somerset), and Southern NJ (Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Atlantic).
- Pennsylvania: Philadelphia Metro Area, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties, as well as key hospital networks in Eastern PA.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 2 years in business development, physician liaison, medical sales, or provider relations (preferably in healthcare, surgical specialties, or rehabilitation).
- Knowledge: Familiarity with plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery procedures or a willingness to learn.
- Skills: Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication abilities.
- Personality: Outgoing, self-motivated, and proactive in developing professional connections.
- Technology: Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and referral tracking systems.
- Travel: Frequent travel within New Jersey and Pennsylvania (valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required).
