Job Tasks (Duties):
- Support all direct reports and subordinate staff in your department through continuous communication, training, and leadership.
- Understands that safety is every Aquatic employee’s #1 priority.
- Develops and implements pool safety programs including ongoing training.
- Demonstrates and coaches that hospitality is every Aquatic employee’s #2 priority.
- Ultimately responsible for the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of all Aquatics staff.
- Provides orientation of the Club, and full uniform including proper swim attire to aquatics staff.
- Formulates work schedules and rotation schedules for all aquatics staff.
- Provides staff payroll documentation to HR for accurate recording.
- In-season documentation may include incident reports, performance reviews, and disciplinary action as appropriate.
- Strong communication with the membership is a critical component of success with the GOCC Aquatics program.
- Is the face of Aquatics at The Players Club. Represents the Club in activities as required, available to members and parents throughout the pool season.
- Communicates seasonal letters to members about lesson dates, class times, costs, and other relevant detail for the membership through our monthly newsletter and other digital means via the Club’s Communications Manager.
- Communicates with parents on the children’s skill development, technique, and general expectations with competitive growth.
- Arranges a program of private swim lessons that appeal to the needs of our membership.
- Through our time and attendance program, checks correct, and update departmental staff hours.
- Purchases pool supplies and make recommendations to GM on other needs of the aquatic’s facility.
- Maintains and keeps all necessary records concerning pool attendance, guest fees, pool chemicals, member interaction reports, and lifeguard and instructor schedules.
- Works in conjunction with the Facilities Manager to maintain proper chemical balance in pools and maintains mechanical equipment.
- Plans, outlines, and directs the swim team, and travels to meet Club swim team members in conjunction with the annual swim team schedule amongst the area Clubs.
- Plans and directs special pool events such as holidays in conjunction with fellow Club leaders and the Club newsletter.
- Is proactive in promoting the Aquatics Park, its staff, and programs in a manner that continuously provides value to the Players Club members, their families, and guests.
- Responsible for leading the Aquatics program in a financially sound manner, based on annual budgetary goals.
- As a senior leader of The Players Club, the Director of Aquatics will be mindful of his/her representation of the Club and its reputation within the community while on or off the property.

Additional Requirements:
- The Aquatics Director must be certified in Water Safety Instruction (WSI), CPR, AED, First Aid, and CPO or be in pursuit of these certifications.
- Must have the ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
