What are the responsibilities and job description for the League Social and Digital Media Internship position at The Players' League?
The Players League is a sports company that operates collegiate summer baseball leagues across the United States. It has several branches, including a sports media company and a sports apparel manufacturing company.
This internship will focus on managing The Players League Public Relations efforts.
The Players League seeks a forward-thinking individual who can identify potential story leads, works confidently in a fast-paced environment, and is well-versed in the collegiate sports industry.
The Social and Digital Marketing Intern is responsible for the following tasks:
- Writing intriguing and accurate press releases and stories for The Players League organization
- Working with league officials and administrators to fulfill press release requests
- Contacting relevant colleagues, athletes, and business persons for quotes and commentary for all press releases
- Reaching out to news publications to publicize press releases and gain traction
- Working with team-specific Social Media Interns to streamline story posting
- Working with Graphic Design Interns for creative requests when needed
- Working with Photo/Video Interns for fresh content when needed
