What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Golf Coach position at The Players Sports Academy?
Job Overview:
We are looking to hire passionate and experienced golf coaches right away within the Greater Charlotte Area. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in a variety of coaching techniques, with a focus on promoting physical fitness, skill, and character development in young athletes.
Our mission is to empower the next generation through sports by providing a variety of high-quality athletic opportunities to kids of all ages and skill levels. We partner with organizations of all types, such as schools, daycares, and recreation centers, and offer an ever-growing number of sports, such as flag football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and many others.
Most of our sessions typically run from Monday through Friday, within the 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM time frames. Other sessions may run in the early evening hours and/or weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fun training programs tailored to individual and team needs.
- Instruct young athletes on proper techniques, strategies, and rules of the sport.
- Provide guidance on physical conditioning, nutrition, and injury prevention.
- Motivate and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential.
- Manage team dynamics and promote sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Monitor and assess athlete performance progress.
Experience:
- Previous experience coaching and/or playing golf is preferred.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of physical education principles is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with young athletes, parents and staff; as well as advocate for PSA's core principles and mission.
