What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Assistant position at The Plaza at Clover Lake?
The Recreation Aide assists the Director of Recreation in implementing recreational programs as per the monthly schedule. S/he assists in engaging residents and will assist with coordinating transportation as necessary. They are responsible for additional documentation and administrative duties and for additional coverage of events outside of the Director’s hours. Must be willing to drive Residents to/from locations as scheduled (no CDL required) in facility owned bus.
Job Duties Include:
- Engage new residents and determine their interests, including initial Resident assessment and collection of required documentation.
- Assisted with creation and facilitation of monthly activity calendars including creating new programs and outreach and follow up with Vendors and Residents.
- Must be trained and willing to drive company bus for resident trips, appointments or emergencies as needed
- Assist in running monthly festivities and parties at the facility
- Assist volunteers and their activities
- Support the Director and cover all their regulatory responsibilities in the Director’s absence including scheduling of programs, communication with Residents and Vendors and continued tracking of all pertinent documentation.
Clean driving record.
Background check, DMV check required
32 hours per week, some evenings.
