About the Role
The Pleasantville Public School District is seeking an experienced Applied Behavior Analysis Consultant to provide high-quality services to students with Autism and other disabilities. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing ABA programs, conducting functional behavioral assessments, and providing professional learning and support to school site staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ABA programs for students with Autism and other disabilities.
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop behavior plans to address student needs.
- Provide professional learning and support to school site staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians in ABA methodologies and crisis prevention techniques.
- Collaborate with public and private agencies to offer programs that foster pro-social skills and prevent violent behavior.
- Collect data and prepare reports to document case history, assessments, and treatment.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in applied social service, sociology, psychology, special education or related field.
- Hold a valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate or eligibility.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
