Job description
Grounds attendants work directly with the guests as well as behind the scenes to ensure all guest needs are met, activity areas are always ready for guests, and guest arrivals & departures are efficiently taken care of. Grounds crew members have direct one on one contact with the guests and frequently assist with multiple guest requests throughout the day. Grounds crew members also work to maintain the property and public areas at all times to ensure all areas meet the Forbes Five Star standards. Grounds crew members frequently assist guests with luggage on arrival, provide brief introductions to the property, provide car services to guests who fly into the local airports, and lead guests in requested activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Maintain all outdoor public areas and activity areas
· Ensure guest vehicles are prepared and cleaned for the day’s needs
· Greet arriving guests and introduce new guests to the property
· Assist guests with luggage upon arrival and on the day of their departure
· Make sure all rooms are well stocked with firewood and fireplaces are ready for use
· Attend to seasonal responsibilities such as snow removal, fire sets, lawn mowing, etc.
· Attend to lake and boating activities
· Ensure all outdoor fireplaces are reset after guest use
· Set up guest areas with necessary items such as heaters, firewood, mobile firepits, etc.
· Other duties as assigned
Secondary Responsibilities
· Serve guests upon receiving requests / assist guests with questions about the property.
· Assist other departments or in property initiatives based on direction from management.
· Practice an honest and transparent culture with other staff and managers.
· Come to work prepared every day.
· Understand and practice excellent time management.
Physical Demands:
· Carry up to 30 pounds.
· Work in various temperatures (hot and cold).
· Work indoors and outdoors.
· Be physically active throughout an 8 hour average work day.
· Be on your feet for extended periods throughout the day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
