Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Tap Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience working with children, fostering their love for movement and expression through various dance styles. This role involves teaching dance classes, creating engaging lesson plans, and nurturing the artistic development of students in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate dance curricula that align with students’ skill levels and interests.
- Teach various Tap dance levels from beginning to advanced, ensuring proper techniques and safety measures are followed.
- Create a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes creativity and self-expression.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Organize performances or recitals to showcase students’ talents and achievements.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss student development and address any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized studio space, ensuring all equipment is safe for use.
Skills
- Proficient in various dance styles with a strong foundation in TAP technique.
- Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively engage students at different developmental stages.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in related fields such as theater or photography can be beneficial for enhancing class presentations.
- Additional skills such as culinary arts or sewing may be advantageous for creative projects within the dance curriculum.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
