What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Representative - Part Time position at the Polynesian Cultural Center?
Performs general duties in a Human Resources department. Screens employment applications, administers pre-employment tests. Checks employment forms for induction of new employees. Completes detail work in connection enrollment in group insurance, identification cards, attendance and absentee records. Establishes and maintains confidential personnel records reflecting changes in employee status and various Personnel Actions, including counsels and performance recognitions. Performs other specific human resources projects as assigned Operates a computer terminal.
Essential Functions:
- Sets up and maintains confidential computer files relating to personnel employment records and prepares reports and statistical summaries for BYU-H and departments as required.
- Utilizes a computer terminal in conjunction with HRIS.
- Conducts job offers for all new hires/rehires insuring all paperwork, documentation and ID cards are issued.
- Complete verification of employment form, utilizing personnel records and payroll information.
- Assists job applicants by answering questions, distributing application forms, receiving completed application forms and resumes, setting up job interviews, etc.
- May be required to assist in the office reception area by answering the telephone, administering tests, issuing final paychecks, sending human resources documents and/or final paychecks via certified mail, etc.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the HR Employment Manager.
