The Pond and Lake Connection is a growing full service pond and lake management company serving the New England region for over twenty-five years.
Experience in landscape, turf grass and/or tree maintenance, pest control or aquatic management that includes the application of pesticides. Must possess a valid Driver’s License with the ability to remain insurable.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Safe operation of a Company vehicle and boats in compliance with all state and federal laws.
- Follow established safety procedures.
- Complete scheduled service orders daily.
- Perform complete diagnostics on residential and commercial fountains and aeration equipment, identify malfunctions, and resolve issues accordingly.
- Provide scheduled maintenance on fountain and aeration equipment.
- Identify additional services that may be required and present information to service manager.
- Represent The Pond and Lake Connection through direct interaction with customers.
- Complete installation and removal of fountain and aeration equipment.
- Accurately complete daily paperwork and service orders.
- Complete general warehouse and facility duties as assigned.
- Must abide by all company policies as contained in the company employee handbook..
Assisting a team of Aquatic Specialists with the management of vegetation and invasive weed control in golf course, residential, municipal and commercial ponds and lakes across New York. Counties includes:

Job examples:
1. Inspects pond, lakes and other bodies of water to identify aquatic weed/ algae infestation and determine corrective action.
2. Prepares and applies aquatic algaecides, herbicides, and biological controls.
3. Installation and troubleshooting of aeration equipment.
4. Operates boats and spray equipment.
5. Mechanical and/or manual cutting of aquatic vegetation.
6. Performs other related duties as required: fish stocking and bathymetric surveys.
Gain in field knowledge of aquatic plants common to the area and methods used in their eradication and control and tools pertaining to the handling and application of aquatic pesticides. Candidate should be familiar with roadways in New York and the Northeast. Ability to work efficiently, communicate effectively and represent the company in a professional manner; ability to tow boats/trailer is a PLUS!
Essential Functions:
- Qualified candidates must have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Drive for extended periods (2-3 hours)
- Kneel/bend for extended periods of time
Work Environment:
A company uniform is provided to employees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and therefore could be exposed to a variety of elements.
