What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant position at The Pool Attendant Company?
We are seeking motivated individuals that have open availability on weekdays and/or weekends. Summer holidays are also required. If you're dependable and able to commit to this schedule, we’d be glad to have you on board! The position will start in the middle of May.
The ideal candidate for this position has a proven track record in producing consistent results in an independent role. No prior experience is necessary for this position. We train all new hires.
What to expect: A community will see you as the figure of authority for their swimming pool as you will be responsible for signing in guests, enforcing rules, and maintaining cleanliness. From the time you arrive to the time you leave; you are the sole supervisory figure of the pool so you must be someone who has a high level of integrity and attention to detail. You must be someone who can perform well under stress as there may be times when conflicts could arise as a result of your enforcement of rules.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or greater
- Experience in customer facing positions
- No visible tattoos. or ability to cover tattoos on face/neck/hands during shift.
- No excessive facial piercings
- Ability to pass pre-employment and/or random drug test
- No more than 4 jobs in the past 2 years
- Reliable Transportation
- Pass personality test and/or other testing formats
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests at the pool area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Monitor pool activities to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Engage with guests, offering information about amenities and events.
- Handle conflicts and guest concerns with professionalism and poise.
- Maintain cleanliness in the pool area.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and guest service skills
- Ability to manage events and handle conflicts effectively
- Relevant experience with children and public speaking is a plus
- Background in food service, hospitality, or resort environments is beneficial
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
