What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Forklift Operator position at The Popcorn Factory?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Pick work orders pertaining to the various warehouse/production areas using powered industrial equipment. Frequent bending, twisting and lifting motions are required.
. Assists the receiving crew in the off-loading of inbound components and raw materials.
. Assists in the loading of trucks of finished goods for customer shipments and deliveries.
. Transport finished goods from the various production zones to the designated staging area to await put away.
. Provide support to the various kitchen areas with raw material replenishment when needed.
. Perform all other job- related duties as directed by management
. Waters and re-charges truck batteries
. Put away received raw materials and components in to racking with the use of RF scanner.
. Observe all safety and security procedures. Report any potentially unsafe conditions. Operate all equipment in the prescribed manner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. The ability to become in-house forklift certified as required by OSHA.
Must have Stand- Up Forklift Experience
