About Us: The Pope Companies and Pope Funeral Homes is 100 year old family owned full service funeral firm that is growing and is searching for a highly qualified and collaborative person to join its team as a Funeral Director/Embalmer. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sincere desire to provide families with an unparalleled level of care.
Position Description: This position will support all aspects of firm operations including, but not limited to, arrangents, embalming, directing of funeral services, transfers, and with other care center operations. The funeral director will collaborate with all members of the team in an environment that facilitates learning and career development.
Position Duties: All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, Associates in Arts Degree and NBE certification and the flexibility to work outside of standard business hours and the ability to lift up 75lbs. Funeral service and embalming of at least 3 years is preferred. Candidate must be willing to work hard, work as part of a team and demonstrate a sincere commitment to caring for families and have a commitment to excellence.
