Early Childhood Program Assistant

Overview
We are a cooperative teacher-led, parent supported toddler learning & play program supporting the development of children ages 1-3.5, in a nurturing and engaging environment. This position involves working closely with lead teacher and director to implement and plan activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth, as well as support daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for early childhood education, ensuring that each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive. In addition to our toddler program, we are looking to expand to other programs for early learning, and families, as well and also host events both private and public, and open play hours we will need someone who can help with all of these things as well.

Duties

• Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that foster learning and development.
• Support lead educator in managing classroom dynamics and maintaining a positive environment.
• Engage with children through play, storytelling, and hands-on activities to enhance their learning experiences.
• Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to educators regarding individual needs and developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with team members to develop programs that address the diverse needs of children and families.
• Assist in daily tasks, engage with children and their families.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.37 - $18.07 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week
