JOB TITLE : Certified Nursing Assistant
SUPERVISOR : Branch Manager
HOURS PER WEEK : 40hrs / Non-Exempt (M-F 8am- 5pm)
DEPARTMENT : Nursing Services
HIRING BONUS : $1,000 after 90 days

PRIMARY FUNCTION : The role of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at The Portland clinic is an administrative and support role for the Registered Nurses and Providers while caring for the patients in the clinic.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) TPC123
1. Patient rooming to include, complete vital signs and standard rooming as described in the TPC rooming workflow. Medication review is excluded and will need to be performed by an LIP or Medical Assistant.
2. Task based office work such as faxing, completing FMLA paperwork, answering phones, scheduling of appointments, and records handling.
3. Discharge the patient after any needed teaching has been completed by the LIP or RN team.
4. AVS printing
5. Exam room cleaning and stocking.
6. Collect urine specimens / covid specimen as directed by the RN or LIP.
7. Perform a bladder scan as directed by the RN or LIP, after training and competency verification.
8. May perform EKG as delegated by the RN or LIP, after training and competency verification.
9. May establish and maintain a sterile field after training and competency verification.
10. Epic In basket sorting and prioritization.
11. Duties as delegated by the RN not to exceed those duties as allowed by the OSBN
12. Maintain regular work attendance and punctuality.
13. Comply with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines at all times to ensure patient and staff safety.
14. Participate as an active care team member in a patient-centered medical home.
