Role Requirements:
As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution processes. Your responsibilities will involve handling, organizing, packaging, and transporting materials efficiently to support our commitment to delivering exceptional products and service to our customers. Experience in the plumbing and/or HVAC industry is preferred, but training will be provided for individuals who are committed to learning and are eager for an opportunity to grow. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate:
- Material Handling: Safely and efficiently handle a variety of plumbing and HVAC products, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment, ensuring timely and error-free deliveries to customers.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by performing regular cycle counts, restocking shelves, and updating inventory records.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move products within the warehouse while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, reporting any discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members and other departments within the branch to achieve common goals and contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
- Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring that products are stored in designated areas for easy accessibility.
In addition, to be considered for this role, you must meet the following basic qualifications:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
