Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly organized Resident Care Coordinator to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work directly with the Administrator to ensure the well-being of all residents while overseeing the operations of the facility. This position plays a key role in advocating for residents' needs, maintaining compliance with state regulations, staff scheduling, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Advocacy: Act as the primary advocate for resident needs, ensuring their health, comfort, and safety are prioritized.
- Compliance: Keep all resident charts up-to-date and in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
- Staff Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times, including managing shift assignments and balancing staff needs.
- Shift Coverage: Be responsible for covering open shifts or arranging coverage in case of staff call-outs. Step in to work shifts when no replacement is available and act diligently to eliminate overtime.
- Communication with Families: Maintain open, clear, and respectful communication with residents' families regarding care updates, changes, and concerns.
- Communication with Doctors: Coordinate with healthcare providers and doctors to ensure residents receive necessary treatments, follow-ups, and medical appointments.
- Facility Operations: Organize and oversee all operational processes within the facility, ensuring efficiency and a high level of resident care.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in a healthcare or long-term care facility, preferably in a leadership or administrative role.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of state regulations, resident care practices, and healthcare compliance.Previous experience with QuickMar preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficient in scheduling and resident care management tools (EMAR).
- Certifications: CNA, MT, CPR certified.
