Lead Host / Hostess

Overview The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Lead Host / Hostess to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Lead Host / Hostess will be responsible for greeting and welcoming guests according to Forbes' standards for hotel dinning and reservations, providing exemplary introduction to the Bloom & Bee restaurant as well as leading the team of hostess in their role duties. Responsibilities Be knowledgeable in all aspects of Bloom & Bee operation including private dining room, patio and, full restaurant buyout set up and capabilities as well as all Post Oak Hotel services Ensure all new hostess are properly trained in all restaurant standards, phone etiquette, booking reservations properly, and overall hostess role duities. Responsible for updating new menus and promotional menus Manage Open Table reservation system and maximize seating potential at all times as well as audit website for correct promotions and holiday verbiage. Assist restaurant events coordinator with inquiries and follow up emails inclusive of sending out informational emails for potential clients. Move and arrange tables, chairs, settings and organize seating for groups with special needs. Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
