Role And Responsibilities
- Support the team in the execution of communication strategies and conducting press outreach to promote home, interior design, and architecture brands in the marketplace.
- Execute day-to-day account tasks including clipping, meeting planning and scheduling, preparing agendas and meeting notes, managing and creating contact lists, etc.
- Generate and maintain editorial tracking grids and reports for our clients.
- Create, update, and maintain media, influencer, and client contact database.
- Research top-tier media opportunities, including press coverage in the home, interior design, lifestyle, and consumer outlets; speaking engagements; sponsorship opportunities; award submissions.
- Coordinate logistics for targeted press events to support seasonal launches, collections, and other brand introductions.
- Support client and agency events by conducting media outreach for the event, maintaining RSVP lists, providing on-site support, and creating recap reports.
- Interface with clients relevant to press opportunities, event logistics, media monitoring, etc.
- Contribute to story angle development, press release writing, product placements, and media tracking.
- Monitor relevant media outlets for client placements and industry news.
- Work closely with the agency’s seasonal interns.
- Support the team’s senior team with administrative tasks.
- You may take on additional duties as requested.
- You may travel as requested.
- Entry-level position. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism.
- Minimum (1) one to (2) two years experience on either the agency or client side, working with design clients. Internships count!
- Strong interest in media, architecture, interiors, and the design industry.
- Should be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities. Need a strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), MuckRack, Google Suite, Cision, and social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)
- This is an in-person position and the applicant must be based in Los Angeles with the ability to travel to events and client meetings.
- $42,000-$48,000 per year with potential for performance-based bonus.
