Job Responsibilities :
- Account Management / Media Relations Admin Work :
- With direction, undertake account administrative work (media coverage, compiling press clippings, reporting, event invites / RSVP management, agendas notes, press kit maintenance, media list building and maintenance).
- Research : Conduct thorough background research for PR initiatives and industry trends for DPR clients.
- Client Communication : Support day-to-day communications with clients with direction.
- Work Management Prioritization : Understand tasks and direction, using critical thinking and showing a sense of urgency.
- PR Planning Strategy : Support the Account Team in the development of PR Plans and Strategy for DPR clients that align with brand initiatives and goals.
- Writing Skills / Content Creation :
- Creative Ideation : Share ideas with direction from the account team.
- Writing : Help implement communication strategies and projects, drafting and editing media releases, media briefs, fact sheets, and other communications material.
- Pitching : With account team direction, secure consistent and quality media placements, influencer seeding, etc. Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing client programs and activities.
- Media List Building : Responsible for creating media and influencer lists.
- Internal Communication : Maintain effective communication with internal teams and find timely solutions to resolve challenges.
- Presentation / Communications / Leadership :
- Presentation Skills : Begin to show strong presentation skills and speak up on client calls, bringing positive energy.
- Presence : “How you show up” is important – appropriate attire, confidence, demeanor, positive attitude, team player, flexibility, and willingness to accept feedback.
- Events :
- Event Planning : Support the team in compiling all relevant information to prep for the event, sending invitations, compiling RSVPs, creating face sheets, etc.
- Event Execution / On-site Support : Assist with guest check-in and basic tasks associated with event logistics (pre-, during, and post-event), and assist the photographer at events.
- Some events occur on evenings and / or weekends.
- Event Reporting : Post-event, compile a full recap of event coverage with direction from the account team.
