Job Overview
Established music lesson studio is seeking a passionate and dedicated Piano Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a desire to inspire and engage students in their learning journey. This role involves developing and delivering curriculum that caters to various age groups, including children and adults, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Must be able to take on 30 current students with room to grow your own studio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans.
- Provide individualized instruction to students, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and a diverse culture of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
- Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and progress.
Qualifications
- Experience with music instruction.
- Previous experience working with students of varying ages, particularly children.
- Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Excellent lesson/instruction skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to teach beginner piano a must.
- Bonus if able to teach advanced piano, brass/woodwind/ vocals, or any other instrument.
